The game Bura is, on one hand, simpler and more dynamic than many other card games such as Preference or Whist, but on the other hand, it also requires attentiveness and the ability to calculate your opponents’ moves. To win, luck alone is not enough - you must think through every move carefully.
Online Card Game Bura
On our website, you’ll find an exciting free online Bura game. Usually, it’s played by two to four players using a 36-card deck. The advantage of online Bura is that you don’t have to look for partners - you can create a game request to play with a real person or face the computer, which is just as fun. The main goal is to be the first to score 31 (or more) points.
Each player receives 3 cards, and one card from the deck is declared the trump. You can play one, two, or even three cards at once, as long as they are of the same suit. If the defending player can cover these cards with higher-ranking ones or a trump, they take the trick; otherwise, all cards go to the attacking player. The game is named after the combination “Bura” - three trumps in one hand, which automatically grants a win to the lucky player holding it.
Online Bura – Game Features
On our site, Bura online will appeal to both professional players and beginners. You can choose the number of rounds - 21 (rubber) or 11 (short rubber), and also play with the “Moscow” combination. A combination of three cards of the same suit is called a “Letter,” and three Aces - a “Moscow.”
Points are counted as follows: sixes, sevens, eights, and nines bring no points; Jack gives two points, Queen - three, King - four, and Ten - ten points. An Ace gives eleven points.

The Bura card game, also known as “Thirty-One,” has been known since ancient times. During the reign of Catherine the Great, it was played by nobles and craftsmen, officials and soldiers alike. The game is fast-paced and easy to learn. Each visitor to our site can play not only against the computer but also with real partners.
The Essence of the Bura Card Game
The game is played by two players. The main goal of each is to be the first to score 31 points. A standard 36-card deck is used. The number of rounds in one game is 21 (rubber) or 11 (short rubber). To win a match, the player must lead by at least two points. You can also play with three players, but the game becomes less dynamic and more predictable since much depends on the initial deal.
How to Play Bura
The rules of Bura are as follows:
Each player receives three cards from the deck, and a trump is determined;
The first player to move is chosen automatically by the computer;
Next, the player who took the last trick makes the move;
A move can consist of one, two, or three cards of the same suit;
The cards must be beaten with either trumps or higher-ranking cards of the same suit;
If the defender has no cards of that suit or trumps - or chooses not to cover - the attacker takes the trick;
Players can place cards face down so the opponent doesn’t know their points;
The attacker takes the trick even if only part of the cards were beaten;
A player who takes a trick may declare they have 31 points before drawing new cards. If true, they earn 1 point; if not, the opponent gets 2 points;
If the deck runs out before a winner is determined, the round ends in a draw.
Winning Combinations
“Bura” – three trumps in one hand. The player holding this combination immediately wins the round;
“Moscow” – three Aces, also an instant win;
“Little Moscow” – three sixes, one of which is a trump. This gives an extra move. If the opponent has a “Letter,” “Little Moscow” wins;
“Letter” – three cards of the same suit. This grants an extra move. If multiple players have “Letters,” the one with the highest card wins.
